Welcome to The Cajun Village Cottages, a cozy bed and breakfast full of history and charm in Plantation Country. The cottages provide a perfect place to relax and experience peaceful Southern living!
The Cajun Village Cottages include eight Acadian-style shotgun houses dating back to around 1900. They were found and saved from near the historic area of downtown Baton Rouge, Louisiana known as Spanish Town and moved to their serene surroundings in Sorrento, Louisiana. Restored with original wooden floors and decorated with authentic antiques, each cottage has its own distinct furnishings and ambiance. Whether your stay is a few days or a few weeks, you will find this choice a home away from home!
Guests at our bed and breakfast will experience Southern hospitality and satisfy their taste buds next door at The Cajun Village with a complimentary breakfast. A choice of a full breakfast or New Orleans style beignets and café au lait is available from 6:00 to 11:00 a.m. daily at The Coffee House. Later guests can return for a homemade hot lunch or to try a variety of favorite recipes of the area. The Coffee House is open 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. seven days a week.
The Cajun Village Cottages are nestled about 1/2 way between New Orleans and Baton Rouge, Louisiana just 6/10 mile off of I-10 Exit #182 in Sorrento, Louisiana. When exiting I-10 west from New Orleans, turn left onto Hwy. 22; when exiting I-10 east from Baton Rouge, turn right onto Hwy. 22. After you pass the caution light at the corner of La. Hwys. 22 and 70, the cottages are the second gravel driveway on your left.
